Bank Capital would offer 20 billion shares via rights issue

JAKARTA – PT Bank Capital Tbk (BACA) would present 20 billion shares of IDR 100 each via a rights issue. The said plan would await approval from the stockholders during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting on August 25, 2021.

In a short prospectus quoted on Thursday (22/7), the management projects the rights issue to take place at least 12 months after obtaining approval during the meeting and registering the plan to the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The proceeds from the rights issue would be spent on solidifying the bank’s capital structure, thus optimising the consumer credit disbursement.

The percentage of ownership would be diluted by 73,86% should the stockholders abstaining from this corporate action. As of June 2021, Bank Capital’s shares amount to 7,077,990,984 units. PT Delta Indo Swakarsa owns 13.96%, PT Inigo Global Capital 14.71%, Asuransi Simas Jiwa 11.41%, and the public (less than 5%) 59.92%.

As of December 2020, BACA’s equity reached IDR 1.64 trillion. Its third-party funds are IDR 16.36 trillion, while its disbursed credit equals IDR 6.43 trillion. Lastly, its net assets were reported at IDR 9.34 trillion. (LK/ZH)
