JAKARTA – PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) and PT Bayu Buana Gemilang (BBG) established a joint company, PT Berkah Buana Energi (BBE), to provide natural gas in the JIIPE Special Economic Zone in Gresik, East Java. President Director of AKR Corporindo, Haryanto Adikoesoemo, introduces this plan in the information disclosure, quoted Thursday (5/8).

BBE’s shareholders would consist of AKRA with 65% ownership and BBG 35%. “BBE would build, develop, and manage AKRA’s businesses, which initially focused on developing the gas distribution network transporting natural gas from its source to the customers in JIIPE Special Economic Zone in Gresik,” Adikoesoemo clarifies.

The deal regarding this joint company establishment had been signed yesterday (4/8).

BBG is deemed competent in the downstream natural gas industry in Indonesia. The natural gas distribution would cover Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), natural gas for motor vehicles, and natural gas power plants. (LK/ZH)
