JAKARTA – PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) obtains sales of IDR 47.29 trillion in the first half of 2021, growing 20% from the number reported in the same period last year of IDR 39.38 trillion. This gain is then followed by a slight increment in its net profit margin, from 7.2% to 7.3%.
Anthoni Salim, President Director of Indofood Sukses Makmur, claims that the company’s performance in the first six months of 2021 is steadily rising amidst the currently ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “We will maintain our competitiveness,” he reaffirms in the press release, quoted Wednesday (25/8).
In addition to the sales growth, Indofood also gains IDR 8.49 trillion in operating profit, proliferating 51% from IDR 5.63 trillion. Furthermore, the operating profit margin also jumps to 17.9% from 14.3%. Meanwhile, the profit attributable to the parent company increases 21% from IDR 2.84 trillion to IDR 3.43 trillion. Lastly, its core profit soars 37%, reaching IDR 3.92 trillion from the previous IDR 2.87 trillion. (LK/ZH)
