JAKARTA. The performance of PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) records a positive trend, scoring a 16.46% higher revenue and the net profit increment of 32.14% in the first half of 2021.
The company generates sales of USD 524.11 million. Meanwhile, the industrial paper and other segments bring in sales of USD 156.03 million, shifting 51% from USD 103.57 million reported in the same period last year. Additionally, the cultural paper sales also grow 6.23% to USD 368.08 million.
Export sales contribute USD 325.45 million, higher than USD 290.37 million recorded last year. Asia dominates the export market destination, adding USD 246.29 million to the sales, followed by Africa of USD 27.30 million, America of USD 16.59 million, and Europe of USD 10.16 million. On the other hand, domestic sales also increase from USD 159.7 million to USD 198.66 million.
Within the first six months of 2021, the company gains net profit from associates of USD 94.76 million, while the currency exchange gains bring in USD 18.40 million. These posts have driven the company’s final net profit to USD 118.40 million, increasing 32.14% from last year’s gain. (AM/ZH)
