Mustika Ratu aims for double-digit business growth this year

JAKARTA. PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT), a herbal cosmetics and health supplements manufacturer, seeks double-digit performance growth, supported by the digital transformation and market expansion.

Bingar Egidius Situmorang, President Director of Mustika Ratu, claims that the company would keep optimising digital marketing for this year. The said strategy is deemed the essential step taken during the pandemic within the last year.

This digital marketing optimisation would be achieved by extending the distribution network to telemedicine platforms and raising the brand awareness of Mustika Ratu products to consumers. Situmorang believes that this strategy had promoted the company’s sales growth by 4% in the fiscal year 2020, attaining IDR 318.4 billion.

“The increment in net sales is the outcome of the company’s success in launching transformation 4.0,” Situmorang claims.

Through a public expose today (27/8), MRAT announces its net sales in H1 2021 have reached IDR 176.3 billion, increasing 23.2% year-on-year (yoy). Meanwhile, its net profit amounts to IDR 2.26 billion, proliferating 55.9% yoy.

Therefore, to be able to score double-digit growth in its performance, MRAT needs to score at least IDR 142.11 billion in sales for the second half of 2021. Furthermore, it also requires MRAT to maintain its net profit positive until the end of the year. (KR/ZH)
