30 August 2021 19:53

JAKARTA. PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk (PJAA) had recently made another investment worth IDR 117.94 billion in one of its subsidiaries, PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol (TIJA). The additional capital was provided amidst its downturn in the past year.

Agung Praptono, Corporate Secretary of PJAA, confirms that the capital investment was made through increasing TIJA’s paid-up capital. However, the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange published today (30/8) does not specify the detail of the reason behind this capital injection by PJAA.

PJAA had initially owned 99.99% of TIJA’s shares. Thus, after this extra investment was injected on August 27, 2021, its ownership percentage in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol remains the same, 99.99%.

Based on idnfinancials.com, as of June 2021, TIJA’s total assets amount to IDR 2.17 trillion. However, throughout the first six months of 2021, TIJA has suffered a loss of IDR 26.04 billion. On the other hand, PJAA’s total assets are reported to reach IDR 4.13 trillion. Unfortunately, it also records a loss of IDR 94.86 billion in this first half of the year.

Currently, 72% of PJAA’s shares are still under the control of the DKI Jakarta Government. Then, PT Pembangunan Jaya holds onto another 18.01%, while the remaining 9.99% is divided among public investors. (KR/ZH)
