JAKARTA. Until the end of the first half of 2021, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) only realises IDR 235 billion of its capital expenditure (CapEx) target of IDR 1 trillion.

Lukito Kurniawan Gozali, Corporate Secretary and Investor Relations of Kalbe Farma, claims that the company had recently completed the production plant in Deltamas, Cikarang, and Myanmar. This year, the funds would be mostly used for routine investments. “We have utilised IDR 235 billion for production facility maintenance,” he clarifies in the press conference today (8/9).

According to Gozali, there are several other investments scheduled for this year. However, the sum would not be as extensive as the investment made in previous years. Aside from the recurring investment, this year, KLBF will focus on funding research and development.

Kalbe Farma currently owns 15 production facilities that require capital expenditure of IDR 300 to 400 billion for its maintenance purposes. (AM/ZH)
