RALS alters its 2021 revenue growth target, now reaching 10%

JAKARTA. The Community Activities Restriction Enforcement (PPKM) had forced PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS) to revise the goal of its revenue growth for 2021 from 15% to 10%.

The Acting Director of Financial of Ramayana Lestari Sentosa, Andreas Lesmana, claims that although its performance by the end of the first half of 2021 actually supports the initial target of 15%, the strict PPKM in July and August had dragged its business back. As a result, RALS had to unwillingly close several stores temporarily.

“We are starting to sense some recovery as the PPKM is slowly relaxed these days. However, the 15% target would still be slightly amiss,” Lesmana admitted in a virtual public expose last Friday (10/9). In the first half of 2021, RALS sees increments in its net revenue of 16.5% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 1.71 trillion, while its net profit extremely proliferates by 2,470.7% yoy to IDR 137.82 billion.

Considering the national economic condition and government policies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic response, RALS is now revising the revenue target by the end of 2021 to 10%. It is also committed not to closing anymore stores in the second half of 2021. For the record, as of June 2021, RALS still operates 102 stores in total. (AM/ZH)
