JAKARTA. PT Prodia Widyahusada Tbk (PRDA) becomes one of the Indonesian companies to be included in Forbes Asia’s Best Under a Billion 2021, joining 200 other companies across Asia-Pacific with revenues over USD 10 million and under USD 1 billion or approximately IDR 14 trillion.

Prodia is one company among five local companies which manage to break into Forbes Asia’s Best Under a Billion 2021. The other four are PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA), PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (HEAL), PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO), and PT Mark Dynamics Indonesia Tbk (MARK).

The criteria to be considered as candidates in the said list are Asian Pacific companies, their earnings per shares (EPS), their return on equity (ROE), revenue, and non-financial performance, such as corporate governance.

Dewi Muliaty, President Director of Prodia, asserts that this achievement results from all levels of employees at Prodia and support and trust gained from its stakeholders. “We are optimistic that our business could sustain its growth and contribute to the Indonesian health ecosystem,” she claimed in a press release submitted to the information disclosure section in Indonesia Stock Exchange last week (10/9).

By the first half of 2021, Prodia records a surge in its net revenue, reaching 88.4% to IDR 1.2 trillion. Subsequently, it raised the net profit to IDR 301.02 billion, higher than the gains reported in the same period last year. In the first six months of 2021, Prodia had catered to 8 million medical tests, including genomic tests, routine check-ups, COVID-19 tests, and other medical assessments. (AM/ZH)
