Barito Pacific obtains credit facility of USD 125 million from BNI for refinancing

23 September 2021 20:05

JAKARTA. PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) had signed a credit facility agreement from PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) of USD 125 million. It would be utilised to refinance its debts.

Diana Arsiyanti, Director and Corporate Secretary of Barito Pacific, adds that her company would also receive a Treasury Line facility, capped at USD 20 million. The entire loans that BRPT got from these facilities would be spent on paying debts to Bangkok Bank and fund paybacks of Shelf-Registration Bond Series A Phase III Year 2020.

The said credit facility of USD 125 million would mature in 84 months after the agreement signing on September 21, 2021. Meanwhile, the Treasury Line facility would be effective for the next 12 months after the deal was finalised.

“The said loan is guaranteed by a pledge of shares of BRPT that are placed in PT Chandra Asti Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA),” Arsiyanti announces.

In the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange today (23/9), Arsiyanti admits that these facilities allow improvements in BRPT’s financial performances. “The company could reduce interest costs in general while solidifying the company’s financial position,” she concluded. (KR/ZH)
