Heavy equipment sales soar, INTA aims for a 15% growth rate

JAKARTA. The increment in heavy equipment sales, particularly LiuGong brand, in H1 2021 had allowed PT Intraco Penta Tbk (INTA) to hold its optimistic vision of reaching the sales growth target of 10%-15% this year.

Eddy Rodianto, Director of INTA, believed that the ongoing commodity price growth had positively impacted its heavy equipment sales, mostly LiuGong equipment, as they significantly rose. In the first half of 2021, heavy equipment sales were reported to reach IDR 126.3 billion, climbing 10% from the amount recorded in the same period last year.

According to Rodianto, the LiuGong heavy equipment sales, the government’s downstreaming programmes, the national economic recovery process, and ongoing vaccinations would act as several positive catalysts boosting his company’s performance growth. He even predicted the LiuGong sales could triple by the end of this year.

The positive catalysts mentioned above would also offer INTA a chance to enter a new market outside the coal mining sector, for example, gold, nickel, bauxite, etc. “With these positive boosters, we are confident to set the target for sales growth to 10%-15%,” Rodianto asserted, as quoted from Kontan.co.id last week (AM/ZH)
