JAKARTA - Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi inaugurated the new office of the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday (2/10). This is a form of optimizing the function of the Indonesian trade representative office to increase the promotion and export of Indonesian products to the UAE and the Middle East

“The relocation of the ITPC Dubai office to a more strategic location is one of the Ministry of Trade's strategies to optimize the promotion of Indonesian products to the UAE and the Middle East region. In addition, this also aims to increase Indonesia's exports to the UAE and the Middle East, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic," explained the Trade Minister.

The Minister of Trade said that ITPC has a role to play in advancing Indonesian business actors, especially micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). "The ITPC office in Dubai is amazingly good, but the most important thing is how the promotion of Indonesian products can be increased and result in an increase in exports," added the Minister of Trade.

At the new ITPC Dubai office, there is a special area or showroom that displays various superior Indonesian products, especially MSME products that are potentially attractive to UAE buyers. For aesthetic, efficiency, and image purposes, the showroom is devoted to quality, representative and selected Indonesian superior/champion products by ITPC Dubai.

The Minister of Trade said that the ITPC Dubai office is also in the middle of offices, star hotels, shopping centers, and is close to the Dubai international airport. In addition, it is also close to one of Dubai's icons, namely the Clock Tower. ITPC Dubai office access is now also easier because it is close to the bus terminal and metro train station. (LM)
