Dealing with the pandemic, ERAA refuse to specify a growth target

JAKARTA. The pandemic caused PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) not to set a specific goal for the company’s performance growth. In exchange, it had designed several strategies to boost its sales during the last months of this year.

“This year, we have to consider the situations and conditions induced by the Community Activities Restriction Enforcement (PPKM) in various regions,” Amelia Allen, Corporate Secretary of ERAA, stated carefully, as quoted in Kontan.co.id yesterday (6/10). However, Allen firmly reminded that in H1 2021, the company had scored IDR 21.35 trillion in sales, soaring 47.64% year-on-year (yoy). Furthermore, its net profit massively proliferated by 392.44% yoy to IDR 558.54 billion. These gains are sufficient to fuel ERAA’s optimism to score double-digit performance growth in the end.

According to Allen, ERAA had also prepared some strategies for this year-end. They include offering appealing promotions for its top products, boosting online sales and promotion, and developing the EraExpress service further.

Erajaya would also proceed with its expansion agenda by opening new stores, particularly in uncovered regions, to enhance market penetration. By the end of June 2021, ERAA had managed to establish 82 new stores. (AM/ZH)
