JAKARTA. PT Indonesia Transport & Infrastructure Tbk (IATA) had signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) to acquire PT MNC Energi, the coal mining company under MNC Group, handled by PT MNC Investama Tbk (BHIT).
“After this transaction, IATA would be the parent company of all MNC Group’s coal mining companies,” Natassha Yunita, Head of Investor Relations of MNC Group.
In the official announcement received by idnfinancials.com, Yunita also revealed that IATA would take over two coal mining companies and one oil company that used to belong to MNC Group. The coal mining companies in question are PT Bhakti Coal Resources and PT Nuansacipta Coal Investment. Meanwhile, the oil company to be acquired is PT Suma Sarana.
The acquisition would be finalised after the due diligence and valuation over MNC Energi were concluded. IATA and MNC Group aim to complete the takeover by the end of the first quarter of 2022. (KR/ZH)
