Bukalapak records positive performance in first half

JAKARTA - In terms of business achievements, PT Bukalapak Tbk (BUKA) continues to show positive growth; where Total Processing Value (TPV) during the second quarter of 2021 (2Q21) grew by 56% and the first half of 2021 (1H21) grew 54% compared to the same period the previous year, to IDR29.4 trillion in 2Q21 and IDR56.7 trillion in 1H21.

Bukalapak revenue in 2Q21 grew by 37% from the previous year, to IDR440 billion, and 1H21 revenue grew 35% to IDR864 billion. Compared to the same period in 2020, Bukalapak Partner's revenue in 2Q21 grew by 292% to IDR145 billion, while revenue in 1H21 for Bukalapak Partner increased by 350% to IDR290 billion. Mitra Bukalapak's contribution to the Company's revenue increased from 12% in 2Q20 to 33% in 2Q21.

“The performance of Bukalapak continues to improve in the first half of 2021 and the success of the Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the third quarter of this year has strengthened our position to continue to maintain business growth. Bukalapak was able to reduce its operating loss by 24.9% to IDR776 billion in 1H21 from IDR1.03 trillion in 1H20. In 1H21, the Company managed to reduce its net loss by 25.7% to IDR763 billion from IDR1.03 trillion in 1H20. (LM)
