Ashmore Asset Management to repurchase 4.1 million shares

JAKARTA. PT Ashmore Asset Management Tbk (AMOR) performs a buyback of 4.1 million shares at most or equal to 0.4% of its entire issued and paid-up capital.

Lydia Toisuta, Corporate Secretary of AMOR, revealed that the company had prepared a budget of up to IDR 15.48 billion to fund the said share buyback. Meanwhile, the execution price was set to less than or equal to the price used in previous transactions.

The share buyback would start today, October 25, 2021, and conclude on January 25, 2022. For the record, AMOR’s stock price in today’s trading session was closed at 2.89% higher, shifting 100 points to IDR 3,650 per share.

“The main consideration of the company to repurchase our shares is to prepare for the management and employee stock options program, which would be arranged by the company,” Toisuta explained in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The share buyback would be conducted through IDX. The purchase would be led by one assigned party by AMOR, which had already become the listed member of IDX. (KR/ZH)
