JAKARTA – PT Cassa Mega Lautan (CML), a subsidiary of PT Sillo Maritime Perdana Tbk (SHIP), had acquired an additional unit of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) ship for USD 50.25 million from Maresfield Shipping and Trading Corporation.

Herjati, President Director of Sillo Maritime Perdana, revealed that the funds used to purchase this gas tanker came from the internal cash, supported by the financing facility from PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI). “The additional unit of an LPG tanker would enhance the company’s assets in supporting its operational activities," Herjati stated in the information disclosure earlier today (28/10).

Maresfield is a shipping company legally based in Panama. It has no affiliations with Sillo Maritime Perdana. With this asset purchase, SHIP would operate two LPG tankers in the future.

SHIP’s cash and cash equivalents in June 2021 were reported to reach USD 16.22 million. Last week, it secured a loan facility from Bank Mandiri worth USD 40 million for this ship financing. (LK/ZH)
