Vidio got an extra USD 150 million from Affinity Equity Partners

JAKARTA. Vidio, an over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform under Emtek Group, had recently received an additional capital injection of USD 150 million from Concentricity, an investment group managed by Affinity Equity Partners.

Gilang Iskandar, Corporate Secretary of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), confirmed that the said capital investment had placed Concentricity as the new shareholder in PT Vidio Dot Com, the managing company of Vidio. Its ownership percentage would equal 16.67%.

“With this equity participation/investment by Concentricity, the stock ownership of our company in PT Vidio Dot Com would shift down from 100% to 83.33%,” Iskandar explained in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange.

The rearranged structure shareholders of Vidio’s shares officially took effect November 1, 2021. Previously, SCMA as the controlling shareholder of Vidio had signed the conditional equity participation agreement with Concentricity back on October 25, 2021.

Based on idnfinancials.com data, SCMA’s stock price in yesterday’s trading session was closed strong at 4.29%. 18 points higher to IDR 438 per share. It was traded approximately 5,800 times, valued at IDR 64.37 billion in total. (KR/ZH)
