JAKARTA - Maybank Indonesia recorded profit before tax (PBT) of IDR1.48 trillion, an increase of 2.1% from IDR1.45 trillion in the same period last year supported by lower fees, costs of funds and overhead.
Meanwhile, net profit after tax and non-controlling interests (PATAMI) decreased by 3.3% to IDR1.06 trillion in September 2021 from IDR1.10 trillion in the same period last year, due to an adjustment in tax calculations or deferred tax.
Net Interest Income fell 4.7% to IDR5.35 trillion in the first nine months of 2021, due to lower credit growth and a declining trend in loan yields, in line with the decline in Bank Indonesia interest rates and the restructuring of ongoing customer loans due to the pandemic. However, Net Interest Margin (NIM) rose 6 basis points to 4.8% in September 2021, supported by lower cost of funds.
The Bank recorded a NPL ratio (Consolidated) to 4.6% (gross) and 2.9% (net) in September 2021, due to a decline in credit. However, the Bank was also able to reduce credit NPL by 4.2%. (LM)
