JAKARTA – PT Cashlez Worldwide Indonesia Tbk (CASH) partnered up with Lumbung Data, a peer-to-peer (P2P) lending fintech company, to enhance its cross-platform cooperation and cross-sales. It is intended to facilitate merchants to access financing without guarantee, especially for those that manage micro, small, and medium businesses (MSMEs).

Suwandi, President Director of Cashlez, claimed that this added financing feature for MSME owners aims to increase their business scales and boost the national economy. “This partnership is the answer to the liquidity and lending gap issues of the MSME sector in the middle of the current pandemic,” he explained further in the press release quoted Friday (26/11).

According to Suwandi, the synergy with Lumbung Dana would give a boost to the market share of digital payment services and provide payments that offer positive impacts on services of both platforms. “The financing access for MSMEs in the Cashlez ecosystem is expected to revive and further contribute to Indonesia’s economy,” he said.

Yoga Mahesa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lumbung Dana, explained that the MSM merchants in the Cahlez ecosystem could request for a working capital financing of up to IDR 50 million with a month tenor. “Through this collaboration, we wish to offer opportunities for MSME owners amidst this pandemic and for start-up owners in the cross-platform to access financing services,” he added.

According to Mahesa, this present accelerated cross-platform collaboration would trigger more partnerships with other parties. (LK/ZH)
