PSSI sets to attain 15%-20% revenue growth next year

07 December 2021 14:15

JAKARTA. PT Pelita Samudera Shipping Tbk (PSSI) aims to score 15%-20% revenue growth next year compared to this year’s realisation.

Iriawan Ibarat, President Director of Pelita Samudera Shipping, revealed that the increased coal price and higher demands for domestic and international transportation became the catalyst that would support PSSI’s performance this year. “The projected revenue is 15%-20% better than 2021. We are still noticing the positive catalytic effect from the price and the market of commodities, specifically coals,” he further stated as quoted by Kontan.co.id earlier this week.

Currently, PSSI still dominates in coal transportation, generating 71% of the revenue. The remaining 29% comes from non-coal transportation, including nickel, bauxite, iron, copper, and alumina.

As the transportation demand rises, PSSI provides three additional vessels, comprising two tug boats and one floating crane. PSSI is in the process of searching for a floating loading facility (FLF) in the market to fulfil the evergrowing needs of its users. (AM/ZH)
