Foreigners discharged AVIA’s shares in a crossing for IDR 5.24 trillion

JAKARTA. The foreign investors divested the shares of PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) in a crossing transaction for IDR 5.24 trillion.

D’Origin Financial Consultation data showed that the said crossing trade occurred during the first day of stock listing of the said paint manufacturer, with the price of IDR 930 each, matching the price during the IPO. At the same time, Bloomberg data revealed that the said stock price took a sharp downturn of 6.99%, arriving at the lower auto-reject level of IDR 865 each, whereas the price during the opening had reached IDR 970.

The transaction of AVIA’s shares was seen quite active, traded 35,569 times with the recorded volume of 671,56 million shares amounting to IDR 601.19 billion.

The IPO of AVIA managed to earn the company a total of IDR 5.77 trillion over 6.2 billion issued shares. This IPO is considered the third-biggest IPO since 2008. It managed to attract well-known global investors such as Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) and domestic institutions alike. (AM/ZH)
