Astra Group acquires 49% SOE stake in Pandaan-Malang toll road segment

JAKARTA. As many as 49% shares of PT Jasamarga Pandaan Malang (JPM) which are owned by 3 State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), have been acquired by PT Astra Tol Nusantara.

After the acquisition, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) only owns 51% of JPM's shares. Previously, JSMR owned 60% shares.

Meanwhile, PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) previously owned 35% of JPM's shares and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) had 5% shares. Currently, these two SOEs no longer own shares in JPM.

Reza Febriano, Corporate Secretary of JSMR, said that the divestment of JPM shares was carried out on December 30, 2021. After the divestment, said Febriano, the company received funds to "strengthen liquidity and capital structure."

According to idnfinancials.com data, Astra Tol Nusantara is a toll road business owned by the Astra Group. Astra Toll also has a subsidiary that runs the logistics and infrastructure business, namely PT Astra Nusa Perdana.

The Pandaan-Malang toll road is the 8th toll road owned by the Astra Group. Currently, the total toll road concessions owned by the Astra Group have reached 396 kilometers. (KR/LM)
