JAKARTA. The infamous tycoon Prajogo Pangestu now claims 70.85% of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) after acquiring 5.4 million units of its shares by the end of 2021.
In the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange, the said President Commissioner of BRPT has increased 66.415 billion shares or 70.85% of BRPT to 66.421 billion shares.
“The increase of ownership is intended for investment,” Pangestu confirmed, quoted this Thursday (6/1). Pangestu conducted the said stock purchase on December 29 and 30, 2021, with a price of IDR 870 each.
Until this moment, Pangestu is reported as the controlling shareholder of BRPT with 70.85% ownership, followed by public investors of 28.55%. The small portion left of 0.60% is a treasury stock. (AM/ZH)
