JAKARTA – PT Ashmore Asset Management Indonesia Tbk (AMOR) obtained assets under management (AUM) (unaudited) of IDR 39.65 trillion by the end of December 2021. It was 9% higher than the realisation reported in September 2021 of IDR 36.37 trillion.

Arief Wana, Director of Ashmore Asset Management Indonesia, said that the recorded growth of AUM of IDR 3.3 trillion comprised the cash inflow of IDR 2.8 trillion and rupiah investments of IDR 500 billion. “The Indonesian market of stock and bonds recorded a positive performance within the last quarter of 2021,” he said in the information disclosure quoted on Monday (17/1).

AMOR’s AUM consisted of a fixed income of IDR 11.67 trillion, stocks of IDR 27.08 trillion, and others of IDR 900 billion, as reported by the end of December 2021. As of September 2021, the fixed income reportedly reached IDR 10.75 trillion, followed by stocks of IDR 25.16 trillion and others of IDR 450 billion.

According to Wana, the growth in the stock segment was triggered by the solid cash inflow, whereas the fixed income growth, such as mutual funds, reaped the benefits from a strategic partnership with Bukalapak. “AMOR’s growth in the last quarter of 2021 indicates the cash flow to the stock investment segment, which is good news to assets with high returns,” he added.
