JAKARTA. PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) targets this year’s sales to increase 23%-25%. In order to achieve this goal, UNTR will maximise the customers’ needs in all sectors.
Sara K Loebis, Corporate Secretary of United Tractors, confirmed that in order to attain the said growth rate target, the company would cooperate with principals. UNTR will also try to optimise the users’ needs in all sectors, including the heavy equipment and reparation service sectors.
Then, Loebis claimed that last year’s sales would presumably exceed the target of 3,000 units as, until November 2021, the sales reached 2,950 units. It proliferated 99% year-on-year (yoy) from 1,481 units in 2020. “The 2021 realisation is still in the data reconciliation process. However, it will be in line with our estimation of approximately 3,000 units,” she explained, as quoted by Bisnis last week. The construction sector dominated heavy equipment sales until November 2021 by 53%, followed by the mining sector of 25%, forestry 12%, and agro 10%.
Last year, UNTR’s market share depleted 33% to 22% due to new heavy equipment brands entering the industry sector, especially small and medium-sized vehicles. However, Loebis is still confident that UNTR will be able to maintain the said market share. (AM/ZH)
