JAKARTA. The target of car sales of Gaikindo drives the optimism of PT Dharma Polimetal Tbk (DRMA) in targeting the company’s performance growth to reach 20% in 2022.
“This goal is quite realistic, considering that the prospects of the automotive industry are bountiful and vast, evident from the ratio of car ownership to the population that remains small,” Irianto Santoso, President Director of Dharma Polimetal, announced in the official release yesterday (25/1).
The performance of this automotive components manufacturer was satisfactory in 2021, indicated by its sales increase of 50% to IDR 3 trillion. “We are optimistic that we can attain double-digit sales and net profit growth this year,” he added.
In order to secure this objective, DRMA has allocated the capital expenditure budget of IDR 247 billion this year. It will then be used to expand production plants. It will also be spent on purchasing new machines to improve the company’s capability in manufacturing components and diversifying business by developing electric vehicle components and assembling three-wheelers (PowerAce).
