Bank Mega’s credit channelling went up by 24.99% in 2021

JAKARTA – Credit distribution of PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) grew 24.99% in 2021 to IDR 60.74 trillion from 2020 credit distribution of IDR 48.59 trillion. The said gain is announced through the Financial Report of Fiscal Year 2021 published today (3/2) by President Director of Bank Mega, Kostaman Thayib.

The credit receivers are related parties, which gained IDR 205.64 billion, and third parties of IDR 60.53 trillion, both including credits in rupiah and foreign currencies. In terms of utilisation, investment credits dominated with IDR 41.56 trillion, followed by working capital credit and consumption credit of IDR 7.73 trillion and IDR 11.09 trillion, respectively.

Meanwhile, the collected third-party funds amounted to IDR 98.33 trillion, higher than the previous period in 2020 of IDR 88.20 trillion. The majority of the third-party funds came from time deposits of IDR 68.08 trillion, current accounts of IDR 15.88 trillion, and saving accounts of IDR 14.45 trillion.

MEGA also scored a net interest income of IDR 4.84 trillion, climbing from IDR 3.91 trillion, as did its other operational income from IDR 3.73 trillion to IDR 4.94 trillion. Furthermore, its current year’s profit ended in IDR 4 trillion, IDR 1 trillion higher than IDR 3 trillion reported in 2020. (LK/ZH)
