JAKARTA – Edgeconnex Europe BV plans to acquire 100% of PT Graha Teknologi Nusantara (GTN), whose 65% is under the control of PT Multipolar Technology Tbk (MLPT), and another 35% belongs to Mitsui & Co Ltd. The transaction plan was signed by these parties in interest earlier this week (14/2).
Wahyudi Chandra, President Director of Multipolar Technology, confirmed that his company sold 281,535,000 shares, while Mitsui & Co Ltd transferred 151,595,769 shares of the entire issued and paid-up capital of GTN to Edgeconnex.
Furthermore, the company reportedly divested land of 40,000 m2 in Cikarang, Cibatu, West Java.
Edgeconnex is said to have zero affiliations with MLPT. This company runs over 40 data centres in various countries, such as the United States, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, China, Germany, Israel, and India.
This purchase is considered a material transaction, which is why it needs approval during the General Shareholders Meeting, as regulated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). As of September 2021, GTN is known to have assets of IDR 313.38 billion in total. (LK/ZH)
