17 February 2022 11:08

JAKARTA. PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) will pay off principals of the Series D of Shelf-Registered Bonds I of Indosat Phase II Year 2015 of IDR 337 billion. In order to support the plan, the telecommunication provider will utilise bank facilities.

Billy Nikolas Simanjuntak, Corporate Secretary of Indosat, said that the company needs approximately IDR 380 billion for the payment. It is because, on top of the IDR 337 billion for the bonds, ISAT also needs IDR 43 billion to pay the Series D of Shelf-Registered Sukuk Ijarah I of Indosat Phase II Year 2015, both scheduled for June 4, 2022.

In order to make this payment, the company will use up its existing bank facility. “As of December 31, 2021, the company still had an unutilised bank loan facility of IDR 5.7 trillion,” the management claimed in the press release on Thursday (17/2). Simanjuntak also reassured that there are no material impacts on the operation, legal, financial condition, and business sustainability of the company these days.

The issuance of the said Bonds in 2015 was a part of the Public Offering of Shelf-Registered Bonds Phase I, targeting to raise funds of IDR 9 trillion. (AM/ZH)
