Acset Indonusa suffered consecutive losses three years in a row

JAKARTA. PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (ACST), a construction company under PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), reported a loss of IDR 695.5 million in 2021.

It was the third consecutive loss experienced by ACST in the past three years. In 2019, it lost IDR 1.14 trillion. Moreover, it worsened in 2020, recording a loss of IDR 1.32 trillion.

Fortunately, ACST’s loss in 2021 was reportedly 47% lower than the loss in 2020. It stemmed from the increased revenue of the company in 2021 of 24% to IDR 1.49 trillion, as explained in the recently released official statement.

Sector-wise, 46.6% of the revenue was generated by the construction business segment. Then, another 43.1% were the income from infrastructure projects, followed by foundation projects of 6.1% and other projects of 4.2%.

In 2021, ACST secured five new contracts, comprising two infrastructure projects, two foundation projects, and one construction project. Infrastructure projects handled by the company were Besai Kemu Mini Hydropower Plant and BIJB Kertajati Underpass. Meanwhile, the said foundation projects include the foundations of Batang Steam Engine Power Plant and BUMN Centre.

As of December 31, 2021, ACST’s total assets reached IDR 2.48 trillion, while its equity clocked up to IDR 1.12 trillion. (KR/ZH)
