JAKARTA – PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) recorded a rise in its 2021 revenue. In contrast, its net profit slumped due to the struggling operating profit. President Director of Wijaya Karta, Agung Budi Waskito, revealed the details of its performance in the 2021 Financial Report quoted Tuesday (15/3).
It was mentioned that WIKA collected revenue of IDR 17.80 trillion, climbing from IDR 16.53 trillion in 2020. Similarly, its gross profit shot up to IDR 1.69 trillion from IDR 1.52 trillion in 2020. However, its operating profit slid off from IDR 1.46 trillion to IDR 1.12 trillion due to contracted other income from IDR 3.20 trillion to IDR 1.27 trillion. Thus, its net profit ended up arriving at IDR 214.42 billion, massively depleting from IDR 301.56 billion in 2020.
Its main source of income came from the infrastructure and building segment, bringing in IDR 9.34 trillion, higher than IDR 8.49 trillion in 2020. Then, it was followed by the industry segment of IDR 4.60 trillion, shrinking from IDR 5.06 trillion, and the energy and industrial plant segment of IDR 3.31 trillion, growing from IDR 2.44 trillion. In addition, the realty and property segment also contributed less, declining from IDR 533.04 billion to IDR 457.89 billion. Lastly, the investment segment only generated IDR 6.59 billion. (LK/ZH)
