JAKARTA - In the midst of the turmoil in the global shipping world throughout 2021, PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (Samudera Indonesia) managed to achieve revenues of USD 673 million, growing 37% from the previous year's achievement.
Effective management of operational activities, coupled with careful utilization of company resources, resulted in an increase in operating profit of nearly 500%. With these results, Samudera Indonesia managed to record a profit of USD 93 million.
“Today's global shipping market is like an ocean full of waves, lots of challenges, opportunities and excitement in it. We are grateful to be able to pass 2021 very well and be in the position we are in now," said Bani M. Mulia, President Director of Samudera Indonesia.
In terms of performance, up to February 2022 Samudera Indonesia has generated higher revenues than the same period last year. Supported by the preparations and strategies that have been carried out, the company's net profit as of February 2022 rose nearly 400% compared to February 2021. (LM)
