Entering buyback, Saratoga has IDR 150 billion on hand

JAKARTA – PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG) allocates IDR 150 billion to repurchase 45 million shares. The arrangement was finalised during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting held last week (21/4).

Sandi Rahaju, Corporate Secretary of Saratoga Investama Sedaya, revealed that the percentage of shares to be repurchased in the corporate action is capped to 0.3% of its issued and paid-up capital. “93.37% of the quorum of the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting agreed upon the plan,” he stated in the meeting treatise quoted Monday (25/4).

The shareholders meeting was carried out joined by shareholders who represent 12,603,396,045 shares, equivalent to 93.37% of the entire shares, with government-authorised votes.

As of March 2022, SRTG’s total shares amounted to 13,564,835,000 units. Sandiaga Uno claimed 21.51% of them, followed by Edwin Soeryadaya of 33.104%, and PT Unitras Pertama of 37.721%, the public of 12.166%. The treasury stock is equal to 0.499% of them.

Additionally, the shareholders will also channel IDR 813.89 billion as dividends, equivalent to IDR 60 per share, which is taken out of its 2021 net profit. Then, the profit attributable to the parent company is rounded up to IDR 24.88 billion, with mandatory reserves of IDR 5 bilion. (LK/ZH)
