JAKARTA – The revenue of PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT) massively proliferated 97.33% in Q1 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. However, it was also left with a higher loss due to financial expenses that swelled from last year’s position.

In the Financial Report of Q1 2022 quoted Thursday (5/5), Yan Raymond Jafri, President Director of Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia, revealed that its operating revenue managed to arrive at IDR 568.29 billion, shifting from IDR 287.98 billion in Q1 2021. Its gross profit also increased from IDR 145.68 billion to IDR 267.45 billion.

CENT’s operating profit was also seen rebounding to IDR 104.37 billion from last year’s operating loss of IDR 152.05 billion. Unfortunately, the company still suffered from the current year’s loss of IDR 415.01 billion, worsening from IDR 165.81 billion in the same period in 2021. This widening gap resulted from the financial expenses that swelled to IDR 526.57 billion alongside the final tax expenses.

The highest contributor to the revenue is the tower lease and maintenance sector, generating IDR 478.54 billion. It was then followed by the lease in building coverage that is made up by multi-operator of IDR 78.51 billion and joint operation of IDR 1.41 billion. Then, the internet service provider generated IDR 4.92 billion, while fibre optic services brought in IDR 2.89 billion, projects of IDR 1.82 billion, and IP transit of IDR 174 million. (LK/ZH)
