JAKARTA. PT Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk (TUGU) or Tugu Insurance reported an increase in its net profit to IDR 316.48 billion at the end of 2021, shifting 19.36% year-on-year (yoy).
The consolidated financial statement of 2021 published in one the media yesterday (11/5) revealed that TUGU, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), managed to clock in IDR 316.48 billion of net profit, soaring from IDR 265.14 billion recorded in 2020.
In addition, the gross premium income reportedly reached IDR 5.98 trillion in 2021, sliding off slightly 1.32% from the 2020 gain of IDR 6.06 trillion. However, the decrease was also spotted in the gross claim expenses, shrinking 9.58% yoy to IDR 2.83 trillion.
Furthermore, this public insurance company, whose 58.5% of its shares belong to Pertamina, possessed total assets of IDR 20.18 trillion at the end of December 2021. It also grew 3.69% from IDR 19.46 trillion in 2020. (AM/ZH)
