JAKARTA – PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS) channels extra capital investment to PT BTPN Ventura Syariah, its subsidiary engaged in the venture capital business, after receiving the green light from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) last week (30/5).
Arief Ismail, Corporate Secretary of Bank BTPN Syariah, confirmed that the shareholders meeting yesterday (2/6) agreed upon the plan of raising BTPN Ventura Shariah’s authorised capital to IDR 500 billion as well as its issued and paid-up capital to IDR 300 billion. “The shareholder structure will comprise BTPN Syariah of 99% and BTPN of 1% of the entire issued and paid-up capital,” he claimed in the information disclosure quoted Friday (3/6).
OJK is known to have issued OJK Boards Decree No.Kep 23/D.05/2022 on May 20, 2022, regarding the authorisation of the sharia venture capital business granted to BTPN Ventura Syariah. On April 7, 2022, BTPS received approval to the request of equity participation from Bank BTPN, its parent company. (LK/ZH)
