BALI - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Saturday (4/6), checked the progress of the construction of the Port of Sanur, Bali. Overall, the development progress has reached more than 80% and is targeted to operate in September 2022.

“When this is completed, the passengers will not have to enter the water again because there is already a pier. This is an extraordinary tourism potential. We hope that this can be part of the support for the G20 Summit in Bali," said the Minister of Transportation.

The Ministry of Transportation has started the construction of the Sanur Port since December 2020 which includes consulting service work and (physical) construction work. The development is carried out in the 2020-2022 multi-year budget period, sourced from the Ministry of Transportation's APBN with a total budget of IDR398 billion.

In addition to Sanur Port, the Ministry of Transportation is also building two other ports, namely Bias Munjul and Sampalan, to connect the area known as the Golden Triangle, namely Sanur, Nusa Penida, and Nusa Ceningan. (LM)
