Bank Rakyat Indonesia to issue green bonds of IDR 5 trillion

JAKARTA. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) will issue greend bonds with a principal value of IDR 5 trillion.

These bonds are included in the Public Offering of Green Bonds I of BBRI, aiming for a total fresh funds of IDR 15 trillion. in this first phase, BBRI will offer the bonds in three series, with varied tenors of 370 days, three (3) years, and five (5) years.

The entire proceeds in this green bond issuance will be utilised in refinancing all green or environmentally-conscious business activities. Additionally, the company will also employ the bonds issuance proceeds as working capital.

The green bond public offering of BBRI is scheduled to last from July 14 to 15, 2022. Then, the electronic distribution will follow on July 20, 2022, and be concluded through the listing on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on July 21, 2022.

BBRI has obtained an “idAAA” rating from Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo), a domestic rating agency, for its upcoming bonds. The underwriters assigned for this issuance include PT BNI Bahana Sekuritas, PT BCA Sekuritas, PT BNI Sekuritas, PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, and PT Mandiri Sekuritas.
