"We ask Ogawa International to create a kind of upstream-downstream essential research center in Indonesia. This is so that Ogawa can expand or distribute essential oils at the Karawang factory,” he said. In Karawang, the factory of PT. Ogawa Indonesia has a total production capacity of 3,440 tons per year.

In Tokyo, Minister of Industry Agus also held a meeting with the board of directors of Takasago International Corporation. "We encourage new investment and expansion of downstream essential industries, including for Takasago Indonesia and Takasago International," he said.

To attract this investment, the Government of Indonesia offers fiscal incentive facilities in the form of tax allowances regulated through Government Regulation Number 78 of 2019. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry has included the downstream essential oil industry (IHMA) as a pioneer sector that can get tax facilities in the form of super tax deductions. (LM)
