JAKARTA – The revenue and profit of PT Weha Transportasi Indonesia Tbk (WEHA), the managing company of White Horse transportation service, proliferated 95.79% and 120.84%, respectively, in H1 2022 compared to the gains in H1 2021. The primary factor that drove this massive growth is the government’s decision that allowed people to travel back to their hometown during this year’s Eid.
In the Financial Statement of H1 2022 issued today (18/7), Andrianto Putera Tirtawisata, President Director of White Horse, revealed that the revenue clocked up to IDR 76.53 billion this semester. It doubled from the 2021 revenue of IDR 38.57 billion.
The contributing business segments included the passenger transportation service that brought in IDR 34.47 billion, intercity transportation service that generated IDR 38.12 billion, and other services that added in another IDR 3.93 billion. In comparison, in H1 2021, the passenger transportation service only contributed IDR 19.15 billion, followed by the intercity transportation service of IDR 18.58 billion, and other services of IDR 840.07 million.
The gross profit reportedly reached IDR 31.23 billion in H1 2022, skyrocketing from IDR 10.98 billion. Meanwhile, the operating profit hit IDR 11.38 billion, recovering from the operating loss of IDR 5.54 billion. WEHA also recovered from a net loss in H1 2021 of IDR 6.66 billion to a net profit of IDR 6.06 billion in H1 2022. (LK/ZH)
