JAKARTA - PT Satyamitra Kemas Lestari Tbk (“SMKL”) which is engaged in packaging made from cardboard or brown paper to distribute 38.58% of its net profit in 2021, or a total of IDR 41 billion as dividends. Through the decision made in the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of the Company held today, July 21, 2022 in Jakarta, each share will receive IDR 12.
The remaining 60.48% of the net profit or IDR 64.9 billion is set as retained earnings, and 0.94% or IDR 1 billion is set aside for general reserve funds.
In 2021 the Company managed to book a net profit of IDR106.31 billion, an increase of 163% compared to the previous year. The increase in net profit was supported by the Company's sales which increased by 25% to IDR2.12 trillion.
SMKL is optimistic that the target of 15% sales increase in 2022 will be achieved as demand remains high. The company expects that its sales in the first semester of this year will grow beyond the 15 percent target. (LM)
