JAKARTA – PT Palma Serasih Internasional, a subsidiary of PT Palma Serasih Tbk (PSGO) and PT Maloy Batutua Trans Kalimantan (MBTK), East Kutai, will establish a cure palm oil (CPO) refinery plant in Special Economic Zone (lit. Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus/KEK) of MBTK.
“The investment will take place over a land plot of 9.4 hectares (ha), including building a storage tank, a CPO refinery plant, and their respective supporting facilities,” Astrida Niovita Bachtiar, Director of Palma Serasih, announced the plan in the information disclosure quoted Monday (25/7).
According to Bachtiar, the construction of CPO refinery plant and its supporting facilities will commence once the storage tank and its supporting facilities are established and fully operated.
It is mentioned that these facilities are expected to speed up the loading activity and accelerate business expansion to the downstream palm oil industry. The cooperation agreement was signed last week (20/7), yet the amount of investment is still undisclosed. (LK/ZH)
