JAKARTA – PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) will acquire the stock portions of Sanofi Aventis Participations and Hoechst GMBH in PT Aventis Pharma (AP).
In the information disclosure quoted Tuesday (26/7), Lukito Kurniawan Gozali, Corporate Secretary of Kalbe Farma, confirmed that the company is on the way to take control over 80% of AP. “The transaction completion is still stuck on fulfilment of several prerequisites of the stock purchase agreement,” he admitted.
The signing of the stock purchase agreement took place last week (22/7), carried out by KLBF and two shareholders of AP mentioned above. On top of the 80% stock ownership, KLBF will also get the distribution, licensing, and marketing rights for several prescription drugs and vaccine in Indonesia.
“This transaction will promote revenue, especially from the prescribed drugs segment,” Gozali stated. (LK/ZH)
