JAKARTA. PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk (BUKK) channelled additional investment worth IDR 205.6 billion to PT Bumi Mineral Sulawesi (BMS), one of its subsidiaries in the mining industry.

Said investment was placed following the issuance of 25,000 shares issued by BMS. In the past, BUKK had given a capital investment worth IDR 4.4 billion to BMS, bringing the total capital investment made by BUKK to BMS to IDR 210 billion.

The management of BUKK then explained that the disbursement of said extra investment to BMS aims to help BMS to cover its business expenditures, including energy development and mining. "Therefore, BUKK, as one of the shareholders of BMS, ought to actively participate in the capital increase agenda, which indeed aligns with the company's business plan," the management further explained in its official release.

Prior to this capital investment, BUKK had already possessed 18% of BMS. PT Hadji Kalla owned another 40%, followed by PT Bumi Sarana Utama of 27%, and PT Barkah Raya Utama of 15%.

Until March 31, 2022, BUKK reported cash and cash equivalents of IDR 391.85 billion. Its total assets also clocked up to IDR 5.38 trillion, while its total equity reached IDR 3.42 trillion. (KR/ZH)
