JAKARTA – PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) (Mitratel) will lease 1,000 sites of built-to-suit (BTS) telecommunication towers until March 2026. This plan is announced by Hendra Purnama, Investment Director of Mitratel, in the information disclosure quoted Thursday (11/8).
It is also mentioned that the towers will be leased to PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) and distributed gradually. “The company will not be demanded for compensation fee should the order be less than 1,000 sites. However, if the order target of Telkomsel did not reach 1,000 sites by March 31, 2026, Telkomsel must pay compensation fees monthly starting on December 31, 2025, to the company,” Purnama explained.
The order for BTS must arrive at least 120 days prior in order to ensure the timely payment of said order. (LK/ZH)
