JAKARTA – PT Centratama Menara Indonesia (CMI) has purchased 397 sites of telecommunication towers of PT Anugerah Communication (AC) for IDR 1.17 trillion in total. With this transaction under way, CMI, which is listed as a subsidiary of PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT), will have more records to be added to its telecommunication tower portfolio.
Wiwik Septriandewi, Corporate Secretary of Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia, claimed that the fund source for this tower acquisition came out of its own internal cash. “The signing of the Conditional Asset Purchase Agreement took place yesterday (17/8),” she mentioned in the information disclosure quoted Monday (22/8).
Last week, CMI had bought 289 tower sites of PT Lesmana Swasti Prashida (LSP) and PT Technindo Global Fortace (TGF) for IDR 631.53 billion.
While CMI and AC are not affiliated, CMI was 99.99% controlled by CENT. This transaction’s value exceeds 20% of CENT’s total equity reported in December 2022 worth IDR 2.05 trillion. (LK/ZH)
