23 August 2022 06:37

JAKARTA. Daley Capital Limited, an investment company listed on Cayman Island, has reduced its stock portion in PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR).

Christofer A. Uktolseja, Corporate Secretary of BNBR, claimed that the number of shares divested by Daley Capital reached 200 million shares. However, his company has no information regarding the exact date, price, and the purpose of this transaction.

Said shares divestment has Daley Capital’s stock portion in BNBR to deplete to 2.04 billion shares or 9.68%. Originally, Daley Capital had 2.24 billion shares, equal to 10.63% of the entire shares of BNBR.

Within the last week, BNBR’s stock price has indeed increased 9.84% or 6 points to IDR 67 per share. It even once hit IDR 84 per share last Friday (19/8).

Assuming that Daley Capital exercised the price of IDR 67 per share for the divestment, it might end up with IDR 134 billion in return. Moreover, if it used the price level IDR 84 per share, it potentially gained IDR 168 billion in this divestment. (KR/ZH)
