Ministry of PUPR targets the normalization of Bekasi River to be completed by mid-2023

BEKASI - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to work on the Bekasi River Flood Handling. From a total of seven packages of Bekasi River Flood Control activities, currently the implementation has begun, including package I (Bendung Bekasi-Cileungsi River Confluence- and Cikeas Rivers, and Package 6 and Package 7 in the Cikarang Bekasi Laut (CBL) area of ​​Bekasi Regency. 

Bekasi River Flood Control package 1 is implemented by PT. Adhi Karya and PT. Nindya Karya KSO with a MYC contract value of Rp591 billion and acting as a supervisory consultant is PT Wiratman Associate-PT Indra Karya-PT Hilmy,KSO. The progress of physical work has now reached 49.6% and is targeted for completion in mid-2023.

During the Special Working Visit (kunfik) of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission V to Kali Bekasi, West Java Friday (26/8), Andi Iwan Darmawan Aras as the head of the kunfik group said that the handling of floods in the city of Bekasi can be optimized by the Ministry of PUPR.
