MDKA to conclude Shelf-Registration Public Offering III of IDR 9 trillion

JAKARTA. PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), Saratoga Group’s mining company co-owned by Edwin Soeryadjaya and Sandiaga Uno, is gearing up towards the listing of bonds worth IDR 4 trillion today (2/9). Said bonds are the final instalment of the Shelf-Registration Public Offering III program, which was initiated on December 13, 2021, with a total worth of IDR 9 trillion.

Based on the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) yesterday (1/9), MDKA confirmed the Shelf-Registration Public Offering III Phase III worth IDR 4 trillion as the final phase of the Shelf-Registration Public Offering III program of IDR 9 trillion. MDKA had previously offered Shelf-Registration Bonds III Phase I of IDR 3 trillion and Phase II of IDR 2 trillion. This time, the Phase III of IDR 4 trillion was offered from August 26 to 29, 2022.

The bonds were issued without drafts, in its full value, and split into three series. Series A bonds were offered for IDR 1.47 trillion with a fixed interest rate of 5.50% per year and a tenor of 367 days. The series B bonds were worth IDR 1.72 trillion with an annual fixed interest rate of 8.25% and three-years tenor. Lastly, the series C bonds were worth IDR 797.64 billion, equipped with a fixed interest rate of 9.50% per annum and a tenor of five years.

The interest will be paid every three months, starting with the first round of payment on December 1, 2022. The final instalment, marking the final repayment of bonds, will be scheduled for September 8, 2023, for series A, September 1, 2025, for series B, and September 1, 2027, for series C. (AM/ZH)
